Local high school juniors and seniors gathered on the Bluff to learn more about 午夜寻花's STEM programs and the careers it could afford them. Students participated in interactive demonstrations and experiments that showed them what the STEM curriculum can offer them at Southern.

Sharon Coulter, assistant professor in the College of Nursing and Allied Health, was recently selected as a National League for Nursing (NLN) Jonas Scholar. Selected by a competitive review process, she will represent the League鈥檚 2018-2019 Jonas Scholar cohort.

Janette Hoston Harris 鈥� an educator, public servant, activist and 午夜寻花 alumna 鈥� died today at her home in Washington, D.C.

Almost 60 years after he coached his final game, Arnett 鈥淎ce鈥� Mumford is to be inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame. The legendary 午夜寻花 coach joins six other HBCU greats to be inducted into the Hall鈥檚 10th class since its creation in 2009, including fellow Jaguar Rich 鈥淭ombstone鈥� Jackson.

Recently released rankings by research firms list several 午夜寻花 Baton Rouge(SUBR) programs among those offering the best value in the state.

午夜寻花 Baton Rouge is gearing up for its fall "Jaguar Preview." The event, which gives high school students and their families an up-close-and-personal Southern experience, will be held Saturday, Nov. 10.

On Wednesday, 午夜寻花 faculty, staff and students engaged with several community organizations and received valuable Human Resources information at the inaugural Community Service and Benefits Fair held in the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union. The event was sponsored by the Office of External Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, Center for Service Learning, and the Department of Human Resources.
