午夜寻花 to host virtual Louisiana gubernatorial forum on Sept. 19聽

The 午夜寻花 System will host a virtual forum featuring leading candidates for Louisiana governor on Tuesday, Sept. 19. The forum will be streamed live at 6-7:30 p.m. at  and on official university social media accounts.  

Moderating the forum will be student leaders from the four degree-granting campuses of the System — 午夜寻花 and A&M College, 午夜寻花 Law Center, 午夜寻花 at New Orleans, and 午夜寻花 Shreveport.  

This public event is part of the ongoing nonpartisan  initiative, which aims to educate and encourage communities to participate in the voting process at every level. 

About the 午夜寻花 System 

The 午夜寻花 System was created in 1974 by constitutional mandate, which fashioned it into the nation’s only historically black 1890 Land-Grant University System.  Presently, the System is composed of five institutions:  午夜寻花 and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge (est. 1880), 午夜寻花 Law Center (est. 1947), 午夜寻花 at New Orleans (est. 1956), 午夜寻花 at Shreveport (est. 1964), and the 午夜寻花 Cooperative Extension Program (est. 1972), which became the fifth component of the System in 2001 and is now named 午夜寻花 Agricultural Research and Extension Center.
